Virtual Adachi Bando 33 Kannon Pilgrimage (the South) #15 Fumon-ji Temple

 

     Fumon-ji Temple was founded by Priest Yuhan, who died sometime between 1615 and 1624, in Uchiya Village, Adachi County, Musashi Province, presumably after Tokugawa Ieyasu moved into the Kanto Region in 1590.  The village had been developed in an alluvium lowland along the Ara River.

     The temple has no priest.  Its building and graveyard are managed by the locals.
