Virtual Old Tsugaru 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #13 Hiderita Kannon

 

     According to tradition, Hiryu-kyu Shrine was founded at the beginning of the 9th century presumably by northern foreigners, at the foot of the hill where Akaishi Fortress was built in 1492 by Oura Mitsunobu (1460-1526).

     Mitsunobu's son, Tsugaru Tamenobu (1550-1608), is said to have been born in the fortress.
