Virtual Saitama City Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage #16 Nakao-Midorishima Kannon-do Hall

 

     It is unknown when a Kannon-do hall was built somewhere in Nakao Village to enshrine Arya Avalokitesvara, who is the human-figure prototype of the other 6 metamorphoses.  When they rezoned the Nakao area, the hall was abolished with the image moved away.  Rumor has it that the image was moved to a certain place shown below.

     It seems there was Midorishima Hamlet in Nakao Village.
