Virtual Musashi 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #33 Tosen-ji Temple

     Tosen-ji Temple was founded by Monk Zentatsu (?-1616), and its priesthood was succeeded by Priest Bungyo (?-1623).

     As Tokugawa Ieyasu (1542-1616) moved to Edo in 1590 and established the Tokugawa Shogunate in 1603, the area of the Musashi 33 Kannon Pilgrimage grew as the outskirts of the new capital.  That might have let newcomer monks and priests found new temples.
