Virtual Upper Tada Manor 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #24 Ryuun-ji Temple

 

     It is unknown when Ryuun-ji Temple was founded in Akotani Village.  The temple opened terakoya, a private elementary school in the Edo Period (1603-1867).  The temple became a public elementary school, Akotani Elementary School, on February 12th, 1873, about half a year after the Meiji Restoration Government proclaimed ordinances on public education on August 2nd, 1872.  The elementary school was closed in 2013.  In 2016, Inagawa Koei High School was opened on the site.
