Virtual Upper Tada Manor 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #20 Kannon-ji Temple

 

     Tsukinami Village had 3 member tempoles of the Upper Tada Manor 33 Kannon Pilgrimage: Fukusho-ji. An'yo-ji, and Kannon-ji Temples.  It is unknown when Kannon-ji Temple was founded and abolished.

     Tsukunami-Susano Shrine has huge rocks, which might have been objects of prehistoric worship.  It is unknown when Susano Shrine was founded in front of the holy rocks but its worship hall was built in 1481.  Presumably, Kannon-ji Temple could have been founded later as the shrine's shrine temple.
