Virtual North Settsu 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #18 Saiko-ji Temple

It is unknown when Fudan-do Hermitage was built in the castle town of Ikeda Castle.

A son of Madenokoji Hidefusa (1492-1563) became a priest named Yuen.  Yuen visited Buraku-ji Temple, which has become today's Yakushi-do Hall, in 1546.  He was invited to Fudan-do Hermitage by locals.  They changed the hermitage into a temple and named it Fudan-san Saiko-ji.

The temple’s main hall was repaired in 1697, and was rebuilt in 1822
