Virtual Akata 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #21 Taguchi Yosaburo’s House

 

     The #19 and #20 deities could have been relocated from their original holy places.  Anyway, you walk up along Akata River again out of the center of the Akata area.  The #21 deity is located just between the #1 and #11 deities.

     When the Akata 33 Kannon Pilgrimage was organized, the #21 deity was taken care of by Taguchi Yosaburo.

     Sekibutsu, namely Stone Buddha, is also located between the #1 and #11 deities.  It is unknown if the Akata 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #21 has something to do with Sekibutsu.

      Sekibutsu usually reffer to stone Buddhist images, but Sekibutsu in Akata are 2 groups of stone monuments.

     Many of the stone monuments have been weathered, but one of them obviously reads Bishamon and Gohozan.  The stone monument could have been dedicated to the Akata 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #3 Bishomon-do Hall in Mount Toko.
