Virtual Iruhi Bando 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #15 Ryuzo-ji Temple
Ryuzo-ji Temple was founded by Priest Shuson (?-1626) in Tamagawa Village, Hiki County, Musashi Province. The temple enshrines the statue of Arya Avalokitesvara, who is the human-figure prototype of the other 6 metamorphoses, which is said to have been carved by Kaikei. Later the image was considered to be Pandaravasini.
Shuson was also the 16th priest of Ryuon-ji Temple, which had been founded Tatsugaya Village, Iruma County, Musashi Province, in 807 by Priest Etetsu.
