Virtual Bando 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #16 Mizusawa-dera Temple

 

     Tradition says that Takanobe Ienari became the Governor of Kozuke Province in the first half of the 5th century.  His third daughter, Ikaho, had her personal guardian Buddhist image of Eleven-faced Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara, which is enshrined in Mizusawa-dera Temple.
