Virtual Akigawa 34 Kannon Pilgrimage #27 Yozawa-ji Temple
It is unknown when Yozawa-ji Temple was founded in Nutabata Hamlet along the Yozawa River, which is an upstream branch of Aki River. After the Meiji Restoration in 1868, the temple was abolished, and its main hall was used as Yozawa School in 1883. Only Amida-do Hall and its graveyard are left in the site of the temple, where Yozawa Community Center stands today.
