Virtual Quasi-Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage #22 Io-ji Temple

Io-ji Temple was founded by Priest Yucho (?-805).  As the temple has belonged to Tentai Sect, he might have been directly taught by Saicho (767-822).   Mamiya Nobumori made it their family temple.  Nobumori worked and fought fot Ise Shinkuro (1456-1519) and his son, Hojo Ujitsuna (1487-1541).
The main deity is the Bhaisajyaguru statue, and accordingly the temple also has the statues of Twelve Heavenly Generals; Kimbhira, Vajra, Mekhila, Antila, Anila, Santhila, Indala, Payila, Mahala, Cidala (Kimnara), Caundhula, and Vikala, which are to protect and guard Bhaisajyaguru.
Where, then, is the Avalokitesvara statue?
