Virtual Kako County Saigoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #19 Chosho-ji Temple

It is unknown when Chosho-ji Temple was founded in Takahata Village, Kako County, Harima Province.  Takahata Village was first listed in the Keicho Kuni-ezu, the map published in 1611.  Takahata means High Dry Fields, and the village was located in the north-east of Yamanoue Village.  Yamanoue means On the Mountains.  Both villages might have been in a hilly part of the county.
