Virtual Kako County Saigoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #19 Chosho-ji Temple
It is unknown when Chosho-ji Temple was founded in Takahata Village, Kako County, Harima Province. Takahata Village was first listed in the Keicho Kuni-ezu, the map published in 1611. Takahata means High Dry Fields, and the village was located in the north-east of Yamanoue Village. Yamanoue means On the Mountains. Both villages might have been in a hilly part of the county.
