Virtual Arima County 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #16 Sairin-ji Temple

 

     It is unknown when Sairin-ji Temple was founded in Kusakabe Village, Arima County, Settsu Province.  It is also unknown when Kusakabe Village was developed in Hata Manor.  As the temple belongs to Caodong Chan School, which was introduced to Japan after the 13th century, the temple could be quite new, although legend has it that the temple was founded in the 8th century.
