Virtual North Settsu 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #2 Shonen-ji Temple
It is unknown when Shonen-ji Temple was founded in Yamamoto Village, Kawabe County, Settsu Province. Yamamoto Village was first documented in the Wamyo Ruijusho, namely Japanese Names for Things Classified and Annotated, which was a Japanese dictionary compiled in 938, and which lists Japanese place names from south to north.
One of the oldest stone monuments in Shonen-ji Temple dates back to December 10th, 1747.
