Virtual Kameda Domain 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #3 Yosen-in Temple

 

     It is unknown when Yosen-in Temple was founded in Kuzuoka Village.  As it is the only Buddhist temple in Kuzuoka, Yurihonjo, Akita 018-0852, it might have been founded in the middle of the 17th century, when the danka system was established by the Tokugawa Shogunate.  Under the system, any and every person was supposed to belong to an official Buddhist temple.  Yosen-in temple belongs to the Caodong Chan School.
