Virtual Hachinohe Castle Town 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #21 Ryugen-ji Temple

 

     Hachinohe Castle Town 33 Kannon Pilgrimage’s #18-#20 have been lost.

     Ryugen-ji Temple was founded when the Hachinohe-Nanbu Family ruled the Hachinohe area.  When the family moved out, the temple was abolished.  In 1633, the temple was revived by Priest Katsugon.  The temple was moved about 0.5 kilometers south-south-east.  It is unknown whether the temple was moved when it was revived or after its revival.
