Virtual New Mutsu 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #10 Kofuku-ji Temple

Kofuku-ji Temple has lost its documents after several fires especially in those in the Warring States Period.  The temple's sango is Odake-san and legend has it that it was founded after Odakemaru, the chief of local northern foreigners, was killed by the Imperial Army.  A burial mound was built for him, and an Eleven-Faced Ekadasamukha image was enshrined.  Presumably, they were afraid of Odakemaru's curse.  That is, in the course of killing Odakemaru, they did what should be cursed.  What wicked and nasty trick did they use?
