Virtual Mogami 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #11 Komyo-in Temple

It is unknown when Komyo-in Temple was founded in Takamatsu Village, Murayama County, Ideha Province.  Oe Mototaka (?-1322) moved from Kamkura to Sagae Manor in 1285.  His first son, Motomasa (?-1359), inherited the manor.  His 4th son, Takahiro, lived in Takamatsu Hamlet, Shibahashi Village.  He reclaimed rice fields in the swamps and built Takamatsu Fort.  One of his offspring, Samon, built the Takamatsu Irrigation Canal.
