Virtual Iruhi Bando 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #32 Omiya-do Hall
Soga Iname (506-570) founded Hagi-Hyoshi Shrine at the foot of Mt. Yumitate in 544. As he became the Minister in 536 and established Royal manors in remote provinces thereafter, one of the manors might have been established at the south-western foot of the mountain. As Iname was pro-Buddhism, the founder might have been who was dispatched by Iname from somewhere around Mt Hiei.
It is unknown when Omiya-do Hall was built near the shrine.
The hall was abolished, presumably after the Meiji Restoration with its statue of Arya Avalokitesvara, who is the human-figure prototype of the other 6 metamorphoses, moved to the Iruhi Bando 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #1 Nyonin-do Temple.
