Virtual Modern Edo 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #28 Reizan-ji Temple

      Reizan-ji Temple was founded by Priest Daicho in 1601 in Surugadai, Kanda.  In 1626, it was moved to Tsumagoizaka, Yushima, Hongo.  After the 1657 Meireki Great Fire, the temple was moved to Asakusa.  In 1689, it moved again to its present place.

     Movements might have been very typical of Edo, and, in that sense, could have been very modern.
