Virtual Aduma 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #33 An'yo-in Temple
An'yo-in Temple was founded by Priest Kihara Kazuma in 1930 just 5 years before the organization of Aduma 33 Kannon Pilgrimage, which was organized by the Keisei Electric Railway Company, Ltd. Kihara played an important role in organizing the priests of more than 30 temples. Why An'yo-in Temple was listed both as #32 and #33? Presumably, he was a temple short. The pilgrimage promoted the tourism along the Keisei Railway and thus increased the number of its passengers, at least until the use of automobiles spread.
