Virtual Quasi-Saigoku Inage 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #10 Seigen-ji Temple

Seigen-ji Temple was founded by Priest Genton (?-1591).  The temple has the bronze statue of Arya Avalokitesvara, who is the human-figure prototype of other 6 metamorphoses.  The statue was presented by a family in Edo.
The precincts have the stone monument which is engraved with images of three monkeys: Mizaru, who sees no evil, covering his eyes, Kikazaru, who hears no evil, covering his ears, and Iwazaru, who speaks no evil, covering his mouth.  It is dated 1670 and the oldest one in Kawasaki City is dated 1661.  The city has more than 320 of them.
