Virtual Quasi-Saigoku Inage 33 Kannon Pilgrimage #22 Dairen-ji Temple

Dairen-ji Temple was founded by Priest Bunryu (?-1678) in 1625.
In 1624, the Seige of Osaka ended, and the Toyotomi Clan was destroyed by the Tokugawa Clan.  In 1625, Tokugawa Ieyasu died.  The warring States Period finally ended, producing countless master-less jobless samurai, who didn’t have prospects for living as samurai any longer.  Some turned farmers, some others became discontented elements, and a few made monks and priests.  Was Bunryu one of the few?
