April, 2010

Thursday, April the 1st, 2010

It is rather cold this morning again. The rain drops are drizzling rather coldly on our shoulders. The clouds are covering the heaven somewhat.

Commuters are rather scattered on the tram. Even private schools don't have classes yet, it seems. Only grownups are walking along the sidewalks, too. The town looks rather old this morning.

The transmission of the information on community tourist attractions and resources has got on its way. It means that we have a big chance to start the alignment between the high school and the college.

Cherry blossoms. Lines of cherry blossoms. Shining in the morning Sun.

The first tram is not so much crowded as pupils and students are not on board yet. It sounds today is the first work day in the school year. So seems it .

In the evening dusk, I'm taking a tram to Ten'no-ji. Work days started with over-working.

Wednesday, April the 7th, 2010

Cherry blossoms are giving their way to the leaves. They give us sakura-mochi-like palette.

Another over-working day has passed with taking the 20:15 tram from Kitabatake. Night darkness is pressing the windows.

Thursday, April the 8th, 2010

Eastward cherry blossoms are shone in the morning sun light, with their west-sides or downsides shaded with their shadows. Shadows are dark in lights; lights are bright in shadows. I am taking the 7:12 train, one train earlier than usual, and two earlier then during the spring holidays.

Friday, April the 9th, 2010

A cloudy morning with some wet winds. It might become rainy toward the end of the day.

Saturday, April the 10th, 2010

A fine morning welcomes the first off day after the first class week, although I have a club to take care of. I have had box lunches sold at railway stations for three days.

The 7:12 tram is full of private high school girls. Private high schools have their classes even on Saturdays. Whether that is illegal or not, that is a frank secret.

A beautiful afternoon has come after the fine morning. It's rather hot though.

Sunday, April the 11th, 2010

A fine holiday started with its cloudy sky. Now the sun is shining bright.

"it is important to note that this recent increase in student numbers has been disproportionately located in the 'new' universities (the former polytechnics) and that graduates of these institutions may face discrimination by employers. Indeed, it has been argued that the employment prospects of graduates have become increasingly stratified, with ex-students of the new universities facing the greatest difficulties in the labour market." (Andy Furlong and Fred Cartmel, "Young People and Social Change", 1997, Buckingham, Open University Press, p.17)

It is important to note that the populalisation of higher education has made the 'low-deviation-value' universities and that graduates of these institutions may face discrimination by employers. Indeed, the employment prospects of graduates have become increasingly stratified, with ex-students of the low-deviation-value universities facing the greater difficulties in the labour market.

The first day of the second class week has started with a rainy morning. Rain drops are drizzling from the lightly leaden sky.

The fairly significant amount of rain catches me on my way home from Kitabatake. The tram windows are steamed up with the wet commuters on it. The steamed windows have raindrops scattered on the other side, outside, of them. The lights along the street give us illusory

Tuesday, April the 13th, 2010

A cloudy morning welcomes the second class day of the week. We have full classes from today. The leaden colors of the sky are even heavier.

Wednesday, April the 14th, 2010

Newly bright greens are revealing themselves on the wintery bare branches. The last gusts of rain had dropped almost all the cherry blossoms, and some other greens are occupying the vacuum of power.

Cold winds are blowing in the afternoon, with the chilly air swirling around the school buildings. However, the sun light has become much brighter and the brightness gives the world the feeling of its being spring.

In the west sky, clouds are breaking, and the breaks are having the sun-set light come onto the world. That suggests it will be finer tomorrow. Tomorrow being a fine day, I may be able to feel relieved.

A cold cloudy class day started with cool. A familiar face on an unfamiliar tram.

College Entrance Examination Literacy is still needed to be examined by teachers and acquired by students. “Still” means “even in S High School.”

Friday, April the 16th, 2010

The last class day of the first class week has started with another cold morning. It's so cold, really cold.

It's raining fairly hard on my way back home. The tram windows have drizzles of the rain running down-backward. They are running down because it's raining somewhat; they are running backward because the tram is running forward.

Saturday, April the 17th, 2010

A fine morning is the start of the weekend. The weekend, however, has a club today, and the students' annual health check-up tomorrow. Is this really the end of the week, or just another day or two of the week?

What are the good topics to talk about, at least to start the conversation smoothly? That might be something we are doing: the food we are eating, the clothes we are wearing, the music we are listening, the U-tube we are watching..... They are in front of us, and easy to form images on the topic.

So, I have a work to do even on this fine warm day. I wonder when I can enjoy the spring, or springs in my coming years. I'm afraid I have had a hay fever for a couple of days.

Monday, April the 19th, 2010

I have got a cold, and I can't enjoy today, a compensatory day off on a week day. I went and saw a doctor, and slept more than half a day. What a holiday! What a waste of time!

Tuesday, April the 20th, 2010

It' raining, physically and mentally. I still have a cold. I wonder if I can bear the 4 work days we have this week.

Wednesday, April the 21st, 2010

Autumn comes from the tops of trees; spring from the under, their roots. Cherry blossom plates are giving their way to the leaves.

Troubled with the cold, I have made several mistakes from this morning. Yet, I could manage to chip in something for the school trip to Kyoto. Should I buy a copy of the latest Kansai Walker for the information of Kyoto City Bus.

Thursday, April the 22nd, 2010

It's raining hard. Unexpectedly hard.

Friday, April the 23rd, 2010

A cloudy morning has a less piercing headache. I wish it would be less toward the “beginning” of the classes.

Cramming for college entrance examination might have to be repackaged into smaller sizes so that “ordinary” high school students can perform on the everyday bases.

Saturday, April the 24th, 2010

Another club day started with a fine morning.

How should/could I make good use of Microsoft Office Live? Especially its Workplace and/or Small Business? Meanwhile, Intramural LAN has been introduced. Of course, I must utilize the ILAN. The latter is, as the matter of course, supposed to be used in intramural ways; while the former could be used in extramural ways.

Cramming for college entrance examination could be repackaged into 15 minutes 1 package.

Sunday, April, the 25th, 2010

A fine day. The car has been covered with dust of greenish yellow pollen.

1 package of 15minutes' cramming might be a good starter for left-behind college entrance examination takers. The students left-behind in the preparation for college entrance examinations are clock watchers who have less can-do spirits.

Coaching students separately along cohort lines is effective? We could check the effectiveness of the Study Support with the trial.

Sunny brightness of the morning fringes the spring buildings vividly.

Tuesday, April the 27th, 2010

The second class day of the week has the rainy weather. It was cloudy at the beginning of the day, and started raining after a while.

The rapid train is always so much crowded that I can hardly say I'm standing myself. Today, I took one from Mikunigaoka instead of from Sakai-shi. However, I could hardly find any difference: just so much crowded. The tram is not so crowded, but is very wet this morning because of the rain. It makes me feel damp and wet.

Thursday, April the 29th, 2010

As I forgot bringing this PC to school, I lack yesterday's entry. It's raining today, at least this morning. According to the weather forecast, it will be cleared later, by the day-clear. It's already far after the first light, if we could have ever seen it.

Arriving at Tenno-ji, I found that it has been being cleared. The weather is convalescing.

The literacy for the preparation for college entrance examination (PCEE) is essential, because "those who lack the cultural capital and information necessary to act as informed consumers will increasingly be marginalized" (Andy Furlong and Fred Cartmel, "Young People and Social Change", 1997, Buckingham, Open University Press, p.26).

Friday, April the 30th, 2010

The last class day of the first month of the school year is a valley between holidays. The sun shine confirms me that we are getting into the early summer, while the winds still brings us the northern chilly air.
